Nicky has been amazing when looking after my cat Harry. You can really see how much she cares about animals so I felt at ease to leave Harry in Nicky’s care, especially as he has medical conditions. Nicky has been walking our dogs and giving us and our family great advice since around 2015 when we got our late lab, Charlie. We’ve now got a crazy lab pup called Barney who has had a few behavioural issues. Nicky has been brilliant in helping us and we can now take him out without stress and his general behaviour is much less worrying. Nicky has also helped with our daughters cat settling in to a new home with her boyfriends dog, my sisters difficulties when looking after her sons dogs, and our other daughters occasional problems with her rescue dog. Thank you Nicky, you are a star!

Daphne is a GBGV which stands for Grand Basset Griffon Vendee. Many owners are so scared of their dogs being overcome by the desire to chase deer that they never let this breed off the lead. We knew we’d have to put the training in to allow Daphne to run free and Nicky has worked in partnership with us to achieve that. We are the envy of other GBGV owners! This we couldn’t have done without Nicky who has been a constant in Daphne’s life visiting her as a puppy and then adding her to group walks. The two of them have such a strong bond and we are so lucky to have Auntie Nicks in our lives. She is literally Daphne’s favourite person. We love her too x

Nicky has been walking our Labrador Vada for about a year now , it is such a great service that is provided and we are constantly kept up to date with pictures and videos of Vadas days out . Vada really looks forward to her walks each week and is so excited when Nicky turns up to collect her .

My dog Sunny has been in the care of Pickles Pets for 3 years for 3 walks a week, she loves her walks with her doggy friends. Nicky takes great care of my precious pup while I’m working, I’m reassured in the knowledge Nicky is so highly qualified and takes the safety of my dog to another level using tracking collars. We only met Nicky a few weeks ago and she agreed to walk our dogs while we were away on holiday.We had our niece staying at the house so with Nicky backing up on the dog walks when Ellie was unable to walk them gave us extra confidence while we were away.
Sure enough Ellie was called in to do extra shifts as she works in a care home and Nicky was there to look after and walk the dogs.We know our dogs were as well looked after as they possibly could have been,Nicky kept us updated daily with lovely photos of our dogs,we would certainly not look anywhere else for someone to look after our dogs

Pickles Pets offer a truly amazing service. Heimdall has been walked by Nicky since he was 6 months old he just turned five and he utterly adores his ‘aunty Nicky’! His excitement to go walking with Nicky is palpable and he returns home extremely content and tired just perfect! He goes to many different places a number of times he has known a place when we seek out somewhere new to walk and the texts, pictures and videos from Nicky each walk confirm the sheer delight our boy has with her and his pals! We often giggle at the fun he is having and love the fabulous moments Nicky captures. Nicky is professional, reliable, respectful and so loves the animals she cares for. Her use of GPS tracking was a relief to us when Heimdall was younger. Now he would never go out of Nicky’s eye-sight! We would all be lost without her and are so very grateful for the care and love she shows our boy and us. We highly recommend Pickles Pets. We have used Pickles Pets to walk our French Bulldog Rupert for the last 4 years. We have not once found their service to be anything short of exceptional, and cannot highly recommend them enough. Rupert goes on group walks 3 times a week with Nicky, and the bond they have is clear to see. The photos she sends of Rupert out on his walks are a great reassurance that he is in good care and having a good walk, not that we’ve ever felt the need to see such proof from Nicky. We trust her and everyone at Pickles Pets completely when Rupert is in their care, and as such we think of Nicky as extended family. Nicky is always personable and friendly, in fact, my 2 girls who are often home when she comes to collect and drop off Rupert, are just as excited to see her as Rupert is. Nicky is professional and extremely reliable, and she’s always been flexible when we have had to cancel walks at short notice due to Rupert’s health. We often say how lucky we feel that we found a local company that is this good just on our doorstep. Finding a local service that is both professional/reliable but also personable can sometimes be a challenge, but Pickles Pets have this balance. Highly recommended!

We’ve used Nicky for 4 years for cat sitting and Sylvie is always happy to see her. We always come home to a very contented cat and know that the house is in safe hands whilst we’re away.

Nicky has been cat sitting our boys for a few years now and she’s fantastic. Nicky has been looking after our dog Wilson since he was a puppy. He loves her! He has the most amazing adventures on his daily walks with her and all his friends, as we can see by the pictures she sends us everyday. I feel happy, secure and safe at letting Nikki take my dogs out as you know and feel that they are in safe hands. You will have to put my thanks on your email to others as you are doing a wonderful job, you enjoy your job and this shows in the way the dogs want to go with you and not leave you on their return home. I know with all your experience of Guide dogs and working for Pet Stores gives you such an exceptional back ground for others to be told of, as you care for the dogs as if they were all your own and they are safe in your hands. I would not give a second thought about you taking on any type of animal to either care for or walk.

Pickles Pets were fantastic. Just after we booked a long weekend away Phyllis, our much beloved lop-eared dwarf rabbit became ill and had to have a major operation. There was only one person that we trusted enough to give Phyllis her medicine and to clean the site of her op while we were away. Nicky collected her, cleaned her and spoilt her with TLC. Phyllis even put on some much needed weight. Thank you so much for going way above and beyond the call of duty. Highly recommended.

Nicky is our hero! She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and caring with the animals she cares for, and their owners. Nicky goes above and beyond every single time she takes Dottie out and has been 100% reliable and thoroughly brilliant in the two years she’s been walking Dottie. We can’t fault the service we receive from Nicky at Pickles Pets.  She walks our dog on a weekly basis and is caring, considerate and loves our dog Bella who also loves her! Pickles Pets are wonderful. Very professional, flexible and just as animal mad as the owners. Nikki really took the time to get to know my very nervous chihuahua cross. In the beginning he wouldn’t even let someone else put his lead on, now he’s like a new dog. He’s become more social with other dogs and has loads more confidence since walking with Pickles Pets and that’s a testament to how lovely and knowledgeable Nikki is with the dogs. 10/10 service.

This is the first time Nicky has looked after our cat Poppy and fish, and what a great job she has done for us while we had a week’s holiday away. Poppy loved her from the first moment they met. I had absolutely no qualms in leaving Poppy in Nicky’s care. Her genuine love and caring for animals comes shining through. She is such a lovely lady too. It was great to receive Nicky’s texts too informing us of how Poppy was and that there were some new baby fish. The pint of milk she left us for our return was very welcome too; very thoughtful. We were very fortunate that we found Nikki to look after Leeloo. She  loves going for walks with her and the gang. Nicky started visiting Sasha our German Shepherd puppy before she was fully vaccinated and allowed out. Sasha loved her lunchtime visits and the company and fun that Nicky provided. It was also reassuring for us to know that she was getting quality time with a familiar face every day. Since Sasha has been able to go out on walks, We particularly like the text updates to let us know how Sasha is and always look forward to our weekly email full of amusing tales and photos from her walks. Nicky has been our trusted dog walker for the past 5 or 6 years.  Formerly with our gorgeous boys Teddy and Finley who loved her more than anything.  Sadly we lost both boys within six months of each other 18 months ago.  They were quickly replaced, but never forgotten by our precious Nellie.  Quite simply, Nicky is the best.  She is reliable, caring, kind and knowledgeable.  Nellie absolutely adores her and so do we.  We would highly recommend Pickles Pets and defy anyone to find a better service.
